2십만( two hundred thousand)명에 이를 것이라고 해야 될 것을 2억(two hundred million)명으로 말해서 인기를 깎아

 

먹었다고 한다.( 미국 인구는 2020년 추계  330,433,868(3억3천4십3만3천8백6십8)명이라고 한다.)

 

영어로 숫자 읽기는 세 자리마다 찍은 콤마(,)가 중요하다는 것을 알 수 있다.

 

한국은 숫자 표시는 세 자리마다 콤마를 찍고 네자리씩 끊어서 단위가 바뀌어 영어로 숫자 말하기가 어렵다.
